Data Apparel

There's some crazy nerd apparel out these days. My favorite is the wifi hotspot detector t-shirts. But, I got this one for free, and it's quite funny, so check out these bracelets!

Recently, I attended NFJS (No Fluff Just Stuff) in Salt Lake City. Besides being a great developer-centric convention, we were laden with the latest, greatest in nerd apparel. Taking the fashion community by storm are these snazzy little bracelets. First, what programmer do you know that doesn't wear a bracelet?! Well, that number is about to drop, because here's another way to tote around another gadget.

In the minority I may be, but I for one dislike bracelets anyway. But this, even for me, is exceeding the allowable nerdiness threshold. Wow. I chuckled about this for days. I can't think of any real good reason for these. Maybe by tying your USB stick on your arm, you free up room in your pant pockets for all those other gadgets that everyone seems to tote around these days. With all the gadgets, nerds are going to have to all convert to cargo pants or purses one of these days -- that, or buy an all-in-one gadget (read iPhone).
